First Scribble [First Blog!]

sakjsdkjds I can't beleive Im finally useing a blog again! It's been a long time since I last wrote in any kind of journal ish thing actually..not since last year at least, and that was because someone forced me to. xD Ugh.. >-< god of all typos. xD I guess it is a good idea in that case >.< ANYWAY!!! XD Here I am, and now I have this blog..and this is my first scribble! :3 Hmm..I guess..I can start out with some background information!! My name is Raeka (duh) xD I am a senior in high school this year!! [my last year~~!!] My birthday is on November 10, so I just turned 18 this year. My background is Mexican latina, and I am 5' 3 1/2". Tall enough to kick your butt! DX I speak three languages, and my first language is Spanish! :] Then there is English and Japanese! I recently finished all of my college applications; was accpeted into ALL the schools I applied to, received a scholorship to my top school choice and have decided where I am going!~ When I was searching for schools, I ended up with 12 I really liked, and 4 top chocies. I decided to jump start my college application process and apply early decision non binding (E.D.) to seven schools!

When my friends heard what I was doing they were like DOOD! WTF DX ALREADY??? YOUR GONNA' DIE! ...... which made me a little nervous xD UGH! I didn't die~~~! (I am writing this) But it was maybe the hardest and most stressful thing I have done in FOREVER DX To any Junior in high school who is starting the application process here is my advice: Use your time wisely. For me, my first big trip of visiting schools happened during my spring break Junior Year, which was maybe the smartest thing I did that year. The came summer...I started working a summer job again, and I thought I would have much time to do my applications during the summer, even if it was freakin; boreing. wrong. xD But here is what was important...the SAT subject test can be taken at multiple times during the year, and there are two major deadlines for most colleges, and that is the people who will be applying early, (binding and non binding contracts) and the people who will be applying regular decision. TO ALL JUNIORS AGAIN!: DX APPLY EARLY!! Yes, you will stress so bad there will be mental break downs as you try to make your Novemebr 15th deadline..but omg..you would so much rather be done before xmas, then not be...X___x beleive me, working my butt off this year was the best thing I did! Because now I can sit still while all the other seniors are running around like panic. xD Is very very nice.

Let's see...I have work (my last day!!) today from 2:oo-8:oo tonight.. and it's 12:o5 right now, so soon I will need to finish this because I have not touched hw all weekend. ;__; urrrghh...I have a giant project on Deval Patrick Due in Spanish soon ;__; It does not sound so bad to people I am sure, but the presentation is supposed to be AN ENTIRE 20 MIN LONG DX We each have one class to teach about the person in spanish..MEMORIZED and with the usage of powerpoint. ;__; ~panic panic~ waaaaa.. T-T I don't understand it at all ;_; Ummm... let's see...x-x ^$^% no idea. But I guess it will work out...I just try to avoid the project too much..it's really not such a good habit xD



Mrrggghhh...on Thursday I start my innternship/apprenticeship under a famous glass blowing dood at Diablo's Glass and Metal Work! e_e Im am so excited~~ xD


I have been glassblowing for four years now, and the last two years I have been working at Diablo's in Boston...but this time I am going to be working for my capstone project to graduate! ^-^ It's very important for seniors, but I think I am lucky to be honest...I love glassblowing, so I get to do something fun in order to graduate! xD The work is very hard, and there is no time to be a goofball when your there in the studio.. x__x The fire is so hot and you need to wear sunglasses at all times DX WHICH IS COOL! xD Rgg..it's 12:25 now!! >O xD eating a bowl of chicken and riceeee... chicken and rice, chicken and rice, oh so niceee... *sing* xD frrrhsajbdcsads~ My first blog is done I think :] Maybe I will write a new one after my first Thurs! :D I will get to know who is the second guy I am going to be under...so on Wed, I will be tested to see how much I know, and then matched up with my second instructor. The main guy I am working under is japanese, and he specializes in the hot shop with flowers of glass.. amazing!! *___* I will show you pictures soon! ^-^ hee...now time to do some spanish x__x $%^^%^
